DATA AND PRIVACY
Shooty Blocks is an experimental game intended to test a theory for a post-graduate research project at Abertay University in the United Kingdom for the qualification of Masters by Research. To do this, Shooty Blocks needs your permission to collect data generated by your gameplay sessions.
This game and its data collection exist for the purposes of a university research project only, this is not a commercial endeavour.
With your consent, Shooty Blocks will collect technical data points via the Game Analytics and Unity Analytics platforms. This is not a commercial application; collected data is used by the developer solely for the purposes of testing a hypothesis, and by GameAnalytics and Unity Analytics for Analytics and Marketing purposes. Playing Shooty Blocks will generate statistics about your time playing the game, including the number of games played, the time spent playing and more. This data will be used to draw comparisons to a companion product and discussed in a research dissertation. Collected data will be stored at Game Analytics and Unity for a maximum of 12 months and Game Analytics and Unity Analytics are committed to GDPR compliance.
Data is not used to monetize Shooty Blocks or for any commercial purposes by the developer. Data is anonymous and cannot be traced back to your personal identity.
By choosing to continue playing Shooty Blocks: 1) you confirm that you are over 16 years of age and have read the above and 2) you agree to the collection of your game data under the terms described and for the purposes described.
